The Time You Have (In JellyBeans)

As we live our everyday lives, we often tend to become preoccupied with our everyday activities. It seems like yesterday, you just started pre-school. Today you’re already a proud employee in your early twenty’s. Tomorrow you’ll see yourself as a family man in your mid thirty’s. Sooner or later, you’re already in your late fifty’s getting ready for retirement.

406445305_ccc8fcdb6dHow much time do we really have here on Earth? Have you ever thought how time passes by so quickly? Were you able to enjoy each moment in your life? Or have you wasted it doing things that never really matter in the future?

This video below can give you a better understanding on how important and priceless your days are, and how important it really is for us to spend each of it with purpose and meaning.

Oftentimes, we tend to live days drifting by without really appreciating the value of time. But our time is limited – it’s our most precious resource. So why don’t we cherish it? As demonstrated with the jelly beans, so much of life is already lost to sleep, eating, and other daily routines. We really don’t have as much time as we think we do. So recognize when you have free time, and make the best of it. This is the time we have left.

Time seems so infinite, yet with a deadline we know it is not. We really need to know how to manage our time most efficiently and the best way we can. But this time should not have us wallowing in stress. – Fred

  • This is such a beautiful message. It reminds of how precious time is. Definitely makes you want to rethink what you’re doing with your life! Thank you.

  • I love how the video was done in such a creative way! So important to know what we want out of life so we can the most of it sooner.

Seize the day! Carpe diem! Yep, I just recently reflected on this, when a colleague of mine and a classmate back in my masters days, 24 year old lady died 2 days ago. For reasons we all didn’t know. We just knew she’s ill, but had no idea it was that severe.

  • We should make the most out of everyday as our days are numbered. Let make each day matter and when the days are done, you don’t have to look back and say what if.

  • As of today, I enjoyed my time better than before because of the word freedom. What I experienced in life really matters now that I focused with my life as a whole. There are some frustrations but this is what I called life….and must go on living.

“How much time do you spend worrying?” – I love this part. When I was younger I used to spend more time worrying than doing anything at all. But now, I just funnel all that worry into something more useful.

Oh my that’s so much math. I’d rather eat those jellybeans. Nah just kidding. This video makes me reflect about life. Now I’m thinking.

Really we have 28835 days? Anyway I want to live my life to the fullest and enjoy to the max before I regret. Thanks

  • That’s a beautiful video, the comparison of jellybeans with the days of our lives makes you think real hard if you’re spending the remaining time on something you really love.

we now live in a world that we prepare ourselves to become slaves of a certain norm of the society instead of expressing our freedom to do what we love and how we should live in this world. Our time is owned by companies to which we devote a lot of our efforts just to stay there, even sacrificing our time for families.

As the famous quote goes, YOLO, you only live once, while you can start all over again some times, the experience will never be the same… and in jellybeans (it’s diabetic-ally wrong to look at so many jellybeans) our time is finite.

I just want to live my life loving my kids and my family and To be able to be the best mom for them. BTW love how they used those yummy jellybeans to show what we normally do with our lives and what we must do next.

  • Live life as if it’s the last day of your life – this is what we as a family always keep in mind. Say sorry, tell your loved ones you love them — everyday — tomorrow may be a day too late. Still, these colorful babies makes me crave for jellybeans!
